These bracelets belonged to my mother. She bought them when we lived in Japan in the 1950s. As you can see they are very unusual. She was told that each individual link is the end of a Samurai sword. I’ve included one picture with a coin so you can see the approximate size. The links are of different widths but seem to all be about 1 5/8 inches long. The designs are raised and each one very ... The enclosed picture is two pieces of a set of 11 pieces. I believe they are a sugar and cream set. The set also includes a very pretty covered butter dish, some berry bowls and possibly a spoon holder. The color is a deep purple and the gold is not worn. The cream pitcher is good sized, probably 7 inches high and quite heavy.
